How often should solar panels be cleaned?

Dirt and debris build up and block sunlight, so panels produce less. In Inland Empire dust we recommend a cleaning every 2–3 months. Clean panels also look better and help your home's curb appeal.

What are the benefits of local solar panel cleaning?

Regular cleaning helps your panels produce more energy, last longer and lower your electric bills. Built-up grime can also create hot spots that permanently damage panels, so keeping them clean protects your system.

How long does a solar cleaning take?

A typical home system takes about two hours, depending on size and layout. For commercial systems, give us a call so we can look at your setup and plan the job.

How do I choose a solar panel cleaning service?

Pick an experienced company with happy customers, the right equipment and proper training. Ask how they clean: we use deionized pure water and soft brushes, with no harsh chemicals.

How can bird proofing my solar panels help?

Bird droppings contain acid that can stain or corrode panels, and nests under the panels cause mess and lost efficiency. Solar mesh screens, bird spikes and other barriers keep birds out.

What diseases are in pigeon droppings?

Pigeon droppings can carry Histoplasmosis, Cryptococcosis and Psittacosis, plus bacteria like E. coli and Salmonella. Pressure washing removes surface mess but can't remove those germs, so the best step is keeping birds away with solar mesh and regular cleaning.

We make it right

Why it matters

Dirty panels quietly cost you power.

Inland Empire dust, pollen, wind-blown grit and bird droppings build up on the glass and block sunlight, so the system you paid for produces less.

Regular professional cleaning keeps it working the way it should. In our dusty climate we recommend a cleaning every 2–3 months.

“Thanks for being honest and up front.”
Bryan helped me out when another solar company tried to overcharge me for a simple inverter swap. They got me squared away and got my system back up and running. Thanks for being honest and up front.

“They’re my go to every summer to clean my solar panels”
These guys are THE BEST! Quick, efficient, extremely professional and friendly. The quality of work is top tear! I had the solar panels cleaned, all the pigeon poop and nests removed, and got the critter gaurd installed. Bryan took the time to explain the warranty and showed me the material used to install the critter guard. They’re my go to every summer to clean my solar panels moving forward!

“the owner answered immediately”
We had issues with pigeons nesting under our solar panels. We needed the solar panels cleaned underneath and also a barrier installed to prevent the pigeons from returning. I had called over the weekend ready to leave a message but the owner answered immediately and was able to schedule a date and time to come to the home and give us an estimate. We decided to move forward with the project, and we’re so glad we did! Looking forward to no more pigeons and no more mess on our driveway! He was very attentive and professional, and the work was done timely. Very satisfied with my experience!
